The SmartSolar MPPT 100/15 is powered by solar panels and stores this energy in batteries. Using the latest and fastest technology, the SmartSolar maximizes this energy harvesting and intelligently directs it to fully charge the batteries in the shortest possible time. It can operate up to 220W of solar power for a 12V battery system; with 24V, the connectable solar power doubles. This makes it ideal for self-sufficient solar power in motorhomes, caravans, expedition vehicles, or boats. The SmartSolar maintains the battery's functionality, thus extending its lifespan. It can even recharge a deeply discharged battery and can operate with a battery voltage of 0 volts, provided the cells are not permanently sulfated or otherwise damaged. To increase the charging current, multiple BlueSolar MPPT charge controllers can be connected to a single battery bank.

SmartSolar MPPT 100/15 with 15A load output, direct connection for DC loads
Deep discharge of the battery can be prevented by connecting all loads to the load output. The load output disconnects the loads when the battery has discharged to a preset voltage level. Alternatively, an intelligent battery management algorithm can be selected. Further information can be found in the BatteryLife section.
The load output is short-circuit protected. However, some loads (especially inverters) must be connected directly to the battery, as they have too high a current draw and would overload the charge controller's load output. Alternatively, certain Victron inverters can be switched on and off via the charge controller's load output. For this, the inverter's remote control connection is directly connected to the load output. A special interface cable may be required; please refer to the manual.
BatteryLife: Intelligent Battery Management
Conventional Battery Management (without BatteryLife algorithm)
If the solar charge controller is unable to recharge the battery to its full capacity within a day, and it is then used again the following day, the battery will always be in a state between partially charged and discharged. This operating mode (no regular full charging) damages a lead-acid battery within a few weeks or months. Battery Management with BatteryLife Algorithm
The BatteryLife algorithm monitors the battery's state of charge and, if necessary, raises the DC load disconnect threshold daily (i.e., the load is disconnected earlier) until the energy recovered is sufficient to charge the battery to nearly 100%. From this point on, the load disconnect threshold is modulated so that a near-100% charge is achieved approximately once a week.
Automatic Battery Voltage Detection
The solar charger automatically detects a system voltage of 12 or 24V (battery voltage) upon initial power-up.
Built-in Bluetooth Smart
Thanks to the integrated Bluetooth in the MPPT Solar Charge Controller 100/15, a Bluetooth dongle is not required.
The wireless solution for configuring, monitoring, and updating the controller using Apple and Android smartphones, tablets, or other devices, as well as for viewing all solar values ??and historical data.
VE.Direct
This interface allows you to use a wired data connection to a GX device, such as the Cerbo GX MK2 or the Ekrano GX. Data can then be retrieved and displayed in real time via this interface.
Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)
By utilizing ultra-fast MPPT (maximum power point tracking) technology, the BluePower MPPT solar charge controller series can increase the charging current by up to 30% compared to charge controllers with conventional PWM (pulse-width modulation) technology, and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers. The optimal operating point of solar modules changes due to various factors (module temperature, solar irradiance, etc.). The MPPThe T controller adjusts itself accordingly and always operates at the optimal operating point of the solar panels, thus delivering the maximum energy to the batteries.
Adaptive Three-Stage Charging
The Smart Solar MPPT charge controller is configured for a three-stage charging process:
Constant Current – ??Constant Voltage – Float Charge
Constant Current Phase
During this phase, the controller delivers as much charging current as possible to quickly charge the batteries.
Constant Voltage Phase
When the battery voltage reaches the constant voltage setting, the controller switches to constant voltage mode. If only slight discharges occur, the constant voltage period is kept short to prevent overcharging the battery. After a deep discharge, the constant voltage phase is automatically extended to ensure the battery is fully charged. The constant voltage phase ends as soon as the charging current drops below 2A.
Maintenance Charging Phase
During this phase, a maintenance charging voltage is applied to the battery to keep it fully charged.
Internal Temperature Sensor
Adjusts the constant and maintenance charging voltages according to the ambient temperature.
Remote On/Off Control
The MPPT controller can optionally be remotely controlled via a VE.Direct non-inverting cable (ASS030550300). A HIGH input state (Vi > 8 V) turns the controller on, and a LOW input state (Vi < 2 V, or free-floating (open circuit)) turns it off.
LED Indicators
• Blue LED (Bulk LED) Constant Current: illuminates when the battery is connected. Turns off when the constant voltage is reached.
• Yellow LED (Absorption LED) Constant voltage: Lights up when the constant voltage is reached. Turns off when the constant voltage phase ends.
• Green LED (Float LED) Trickle charge: Lights up when the solar charger has switched to trickle charge mode.
