Double DIN facia adapter for the new FIAT DUCATO 8, model year 2022.
Dimensions of the facia adapter:
Largest width visible: 245 mm (top)
Largest width with eyelets: 281 mm
Greatest height visible: 159 mm
Recess for sheet metal frame: 183 mm (width), 113 mm (height)
The recess corresponds to the dimension for double ISO frames, our Art. No. BOA_24430_02. Please order the metal frame separately, if not already included with the radio. The optional set BOA_24430_02 contains the sheet metal frame, the metal brackets for the connection to the radio incl. screws, 2 unlocking keys and the matching plastic frame to cover the remaining gap of 7-10 mm for the insertion of the unlocking keys.
Many radios are delivered with a double DIN sheet metal frame. These frames have an outer height of only 103 mm. In this case, the double ISO frame BOA_24430_02 must still be purchased separately. Most double DIN radios are mounted as follows, e.g. 13550 and 13552:
1. mounting of the plastic facia adapter.
2. insert the sheet metal basket into the plastic panel from the front and fix it by bending over various tabs.
3. Install the metal clips supplied with the metal basket on the side of the radio.
4. Push the radio into the metal basket from the front until the metal clips snap into place.
5. Cover the gap between the radio front and the plastic cover with the cover frame supplied with the metal basket.
Note: The only difference between the 13550 and 13552 facia adapter is the design! The 13552 facia adapter creates slightly more installation depth.
