The interface enables to retain the PDC- (Park Distance Control) and steering wheel control function when the OEM headunit will be replaced by an aftermarket one.
The following signals are being read-out:
Hand brake, Reverse gear, Ignition, Illumination, Speed signal
Like the original headunit warn the interface you of barriers (rear only) to the original speakers in the car.

BMW with BMW Business Professional:
1 series (E81/82/87/88) (2004-2013)
3 series (E90/91/92/93) (2005-2012)
There is an universal radio cable 65112 included for the following brands:
JVC, Clarion, Kenwood, Alpine, Panasonic, Sony, Pioneer, Audivox, MAC AUDIO, ZENEC and BLAUPUNKT (2-DIN or DOUBLE-DIN units from approx. 2015 except Series 990 or 1-DIN units, such as BLAUPUNKT BREMEN SQR46 DAB from firmware P......47, Blaupunkt Frankfurt RCM82 and Series 400 units)
Please connect the radio cable always before you power the radio. Otherwise the interface does not know which radio brand is operating.
All with steering wheel remote input. Not for cars with active-sound-systems!
