Not every 230V power supply in a motorhome is the same. Sometimes the power comes from the campsite, sometimes from the inverter via the leisure battery. But one thing always remains the same: safety must be guaranteed! This is only possible with the right RCBO (Residual Current Operated Circuit Breaker with Overcurrent Protection), also known as a residual current circuit breaker/miniature circuit breaker (RCMCB), which is compatible with your power source. Otherwise, malfunctions or, in the worst case, a dangerous electrical accident can occur.

The requirement:
RCBO Type 2P – This RCBO monitors both conductors (L and N) and completely disconnects them in the event of a fault. This guarantees complete personal protection, even if the connection has been reversed. Why not 1P+N? Since a reversed L and N connection when connecting to shore power can never be completely ruled out in practice, maximum protection is only guaranteed by using a Type 2P RCBO.
